I have an 88 convertible Iroc. Two plastic grommets have dry rotted and no one can seem to tell me what the part numbers are or where I can get them because almost everything on the convertible top has been discontinued The part I’m looking for attaches the bar from the unlock slaughter to the Pin underneath the deck lid. The ride was attached with a white nylon plastic insert on each end so it would stay put and no one seems to know what I am talking about The clips go on GM part number 12331767. There should be one on each side of the rod. Thank u for any help.

 

Post a pic...there are people on this board that scrap these cars and may have that part.

 

I'm pretty sure I know what part your talking about.Its the plastic pieces that lock the rods in place.Bottom side has like a squeeze clip setup.They are similar to the clips that hold some door lock rods in place to the handles although I think the convertible rods are a little thicker

 

That’s exactly what I’m looking for. Any idea where I can get them. Chevy has discontinued them.
