ASC Subframe Connectors

Guys is there a general consensus on which subframe connectors fit the best on our verts and does anyone have pics of the undercarriage of an asc car with them installed.
thanks

Re: ASC Subframe Connectors

Best fit is a matter of opinion. There's only a few SFC that are made to fit our verts. Lon here (TDS.com) sells the type that fit verts (middle set). The outer ones are from global west, but are for coupes. With a little cutting i got them to fit my car. I prefer them cause they are tubular and match the center SFCs. Which were on there first. Search the forum, there's plenty of pics/opinions/brands to choose from.

Re: ASC Subframe Connectors

I put UMI on my t-top car eons ago and like them but doesn’t look like they will fit a vert with that big ASC stiffening box down the rocker but please send pics of what fits since I’m going to need some for my ZZ6.

Re: ASC Subframe Connectors

Not sure if they sill make them (you'd have to go look), but Spohn had the outer SFCs specifically for convertibles. I installed them and the inner Alston's on mine.

Re: ASC Subframe Connectors

Those spohn look a bit like my G.W SFC, except mine is straight on the P.sd and D.sd has a bend towards the front. Im guessing that bend does what your crossbar does on the Spohns. Did you add those or did they come with the sfc's?

When I bought them, that piece came without powdercoat on it for some reason. I called Spohn and they sent me a replacement that was powdercoated. I think I still have that bare one around somewhere in the garage. I'll keep my eye out for it. If I find it, you can have it. I can give it to you when I finally get time to replace that weatherstripping on the convertible, if you're still willing to help me with that.

Re: ASC Subframe Connectors

Great pics thanks for that. Guess I’ll look for spohns and Allston’s. Didn’t know if the jegs would fit and not going to the trouble of the Detroit speed sfc since it’s just a daily driver car but anyone else with great pics send them I’m installing the motor soon and then SFC and new top hood tach and lots of mileage.
