Anyone here with a rebuilt 350 using 305 heads?

Anyone here with a rebuilt 350 using 305 heads?

Okay It is relavent. I Was and just couldn't keep it cool. Had to switch over to a flex fan and build a shroud. Doesn't get hot now though.

My friend is doing that in his truck and he has the same running hot problem. He just installed a flex fan, but he doesnt have a shroud. I'll tell him about what u did.

When i had my TA with a flex fan and a spacer it actually made it run hotter for some reason. A lot of people mess up and dont use a spacer make sure you use one of those. It made at least a 30 degree drop on my old car.

Camrs89 has a 355 w. 305 heads. He got a 4 core Griffin off this guy who gave him a deal on it used but really good shape. Also running a mechanical fan instead of electric. How hot has it been running Mikey? Or have you driven it much since?
