91 camaro overheating

i have been having a problem with my camaro overheating occaisionally. its not really bad but its bad enough that i have been having to cut my heater on full blast in the middle of summer. i did have a leak in my antifreeze coming out of the plastic part of the radiator, but i had that fixed a long time ago. i was wondering what else could be the problem?

How hot is it getting?
220 degs is common for stop and go traffic with a/c on.

Make sure your fan/s are working properly.

Make sure nothing is blocking the air flow thru condensor and radiator. Leafs and occasionally a plastic bag can get sucked in and block airflow.

If A/C condensor was ever leaking, refrigerant oil from the leak will collect on the fins. Any dirt that contacts the oil will stick and will block airflow.

Check for good coolant flow by starting eng when eng is cool, remove radiator cap, let eng warm up. When thermostat opens, you should see a good flow thru radiator cap opening.

Check ign timing.

Having to run the heater in the summer really sucks!!
