Would the tranny hold up, or would I need a new one?

It would work fine. but keep a eye on your guages. I'd recommend getting a 3 core though. Make sure your fans and all thaty are set up right too.

Thanks for the response. I'm thinking of buying a 350TPI car cheap to put the engine into an 90 Formy TBI
