Cooling fan operation
I placed a paper clip in between the A and B terminals to set my IAC and when I did one of my fans came on. I have the dual fan set up and I was wondering if both fans should come on? Only my drivers side fan came on. I just put the new motor in and I broke the sensor in the passenger side head and have not had a chance to replace it yet. Could this be causiong my problem? Any help would be great. Thanks guys

It is supposed to do that, it is part of the ECM's testing subroutine. The secondary fan is not controlled by the ECM, it is controlled by the switch in the block on the passenger side. That temp switch controls the secondary fan relay directly without any assistance from the ECM. I would replace it if it is damaged or you may regret it on a hot day in traffic. NAPA offers two different switches, one that turns on the secondary at the stock 238 deg. and one at about 215 I believe. They run about 20 bucks.

Yeah I bought a new one when I was putting the motor back together but I hit it with a header and broke it. I am gonna reinstall a new stock unit and then wire up a togle switch to turn them both on. Thanks for the info guys
