Heater valve question

First, this isn't 3rdgen related, it an 86 caprice with an olds 307. My heater valve has a very bad leak and the car is stranded 70miles south. Is it ok to crimp the heater core to heater valve hose and plug the heater valve hole just to get home. This valve threads into the intake unlike ours. Thanks

Sure you can. You just won't have heat.

I agree

Definately won't effect the cooling system but will effect the heater

Thanks guys, I got it home. I didn't know how hot it was supposed to get so I pulled over at 230deg to let it cool. Other than that I was doing 80mph down the expressway.
