Hmm... Is it possible?

I may be going off the wall here but do you guys think I could take out the fog lights on my 87 T/A, install screens in the spot where they were with 3" hosing and have it directed towards my radiator? I haven't looked into it but it sounds like it would be a good idea, to help cooling and such, wouldn't it? I think this, with a cooperation of a functional ram-air hood, would keep the engine running very cool. I do have another problem with it running too hot in city traffic on hot days. I don't think I have the proper fan or something, trying to figure out a way to solve that problem..

I was thinking about doing the exact same thing on my Camaro. But dont ask me if its a good idea or not. I dont see why it wouldn't work though.

as far as not having the right fan, i ended up having to have to change the motor on mines, it worked great when the engine was cool, but by the time the engine got up to OT, the fan was reduced to a crawl, fans CAN suffer from heat soak, just a recomendation.

I did do it to mine. I took the 'tubes' that are behind the foglights off of an '89, I also replaced the panels that guide the air throught to the radiator (I don't know what they're called) with the ones from the same '89. The panels that were in my '86 blocked air from getting to the top part of the radiator. There was a big differece between the two cars. Everything just snaped right in, but it was hard to get the duct's out of the '89

I left the foglights in.

Well when the overflow tank has coolant starting to boil in it that's when it's too hot ;p

My coolant is usually boiling over through the breathing holes in the reservoir cap
but get this, I just took an even more thourough look at my cooling system and I found that the guy who i bnought the car from had a second COMPLETELY USELESS rad in front of the original one. The second one was all bent to sheeeat and was blocking the air comming up from the airdam. Secondly, the rad that is still in there is for a 305...aint gonna work. THe guy that had the car before me was apparently a dumba$$
