I've sprung a leak in a hose that is U shaped and runs from the top of the intake, close to the thermostat housing to the throttle body. Does anybody out there have a part number or an exploded view of this area of the engine? Also what purpose does this hose serve and can I get it anywhere other than ordering it from a dealership?

its probably just a heater hose.. take it off and see if it has a size listed on it. like 1/2" or 3/4"

you can get them at autozone, its not a preformed hose.. i think there is only 3 preformed hoses on TPI cars..

 

This would be a good time for you to do a throttle body coolant bypass mod. This mod will eliminate that hose your looking for. Check out the tech articles.

 

Unfortunatly, the base to TB hose on a TPI is preformed and highly unlikely available at autozone (maybe special order tho). I got mine at the dealer for a few $. Other option (maybe the better of the 2) is mentioned above by Brian.
