I am planning on getting an oil cooler for the 305 tpi. I have heard a couple of things an read a couple of things. The oil cooler will keep the oil cooler protecting it from thermo brackdown. The oil will last longer and it will keep the engine a bit cooler seeing how cooler oil is running through the engine.

Thats all that I know about them but I would like more information on them also

Thanks

There are lots of different brands out there, have a look at jegs or summit to see what kinds they have. They install easy I would think. All it is, is a little radiator that the oil goes through that cools off. It takes the oil from the oil pan to cool it.

i would've thought that they somehow took it from the filter, and PUMPED it through the cooler, that way, all of the oil that circulated would be cool. guess i was wrong

I dont know if I am right. I read that the oil is taken from the oil pan then passed through the cooler and then to the filter and used and then the process starts over again.

But I could be wrong...

Alright guys heres how it works there is a little thing with two hoses that attaches where your oil filter should go then your oil filter piggy backs on top of that and each hose runs to the oppisite sides of the cooler. the cooler uses your stock oil pump to pump the oil through the cooler thus making it a fairly easy mod.
