Power steering cooler and water temp sending unit

Power steering cooler:
I am going to be installing a Griffin 31x19 radiator it is significantly wider that the stock radiator. Today I noticed that the power steering cooler is very close to the radiator. I was wondering if anyone has installed this radiator and what they did about this cooling line.

Temp sending unit:
I got a new sending unit today, from adv auto they have two parts one for a temp gauge and one for a temp light i got the one for a gauge since that is what i have.

Well I have a 350 in my car now not a 305, but I thought the block was the same.

anyway the new unit is too small, the threads dont grab.

So i was wondering if anyone new if:
1. the gauge unit and the light unit are diff sizes (light unit bigger)
2. a 305 gauge unit and a 350 gauge unit are diff size (350 unit bigger)

Thanks
