screwy temp gauge

i have an 89 RS 305 TBI and i have an ongoing problem with the temp gauge. it seems like no matter what i change the gauge still climbs and pegs eventhough the car isnt running hot. i have changed all the sensors except for the one on the intake i have also installed a new OEM gauge. anyone have any ideas? anything else it could be other than the sensor on the intake?

i trust none of the gauges on my car, i had the same prob with the temp guage, replaced it with a mechanical gauge, my oil pressure gauge is screwy also, my tach isnt right, and after taking my car to the track i found out my speedo is off by about 8mph, just replace the gauge, as soon as i can im replacing all stock gauges

I decided to use a cheap set of mechanical gauges rather than put the life of my engine at risk by using the factory electrical gauges.
