87 iroc too hot->help please

87 iroc too hot->help please

i don't know if 220 is to hot- but i don't like it
it will rise above 220 alot and go back to 220 or right above 220 but te pedal gets to soft and i lack alot of power. it runs great around 180-190..
please help--i looked underneith for the air dam but i think it is there--have no idea what it looks like---the only thing i took off was the big plastic black thing cause it kept scrapping on my driveway---is that it? and i know that won't fix it and other good i ideas--i thought low tem thermo but any thing else- i have a alumin gm raditor thas is basiclly brand new-----the only onther thing is tere seams t be a sludge in the overflow boottle is this causing it please any help will do!!!!!!!

PUT IT BACK!!!! that air dam is making you get hot. i bet it gets hot on the highway more than in traffic

get a 180* thermostat and maybe a fan switch to turn ur fans on ealier. and put the dam thing back on

this should all help ALOT..
