hey guys i live in kuwait and its hot as hell here. At the moment the temperature at midday is about 60 - 65 degrees centigrade. My 92 rs runs fine without the a/c (it never gets above the quarter mark on the dash temp gauge) but as soon as i run my a/c it starts to heat up and just doesnt stop.when im driving at about 75 - 80 miles an hour with the a/c, it slows the heat buildup down a fair bit but the temp still keeps on rising, just slower.
my fan is wired to run all the time when my ignition is on.
i really need to get this sorted out i NEED my a/c in this *** forsaken country.
please help if you can. thanx

 

The A/C compressor puts a lot of load on the engine, have you tested the thermostat? Suspend it on a piece of string in a see-through container and slowly heat the water until the thermostat opens. It should say on the thermostat at what temperature it should open. Also, try running the car for a day without it, see what happens.

well, u never said what temp it actualy gets to when it heats up.. that might help a little. and make sure ur air dam is in place
