need help with V6 overheating

My dad recently gave me his 3.1L V6. Now, after driving it for a few days i have seen that under normalk driving conditions, highway and no a/c, it is constantly running at 245, is this high for this engine? What should i do to fix this? it has new cooling fluid, both fans are working, but it still overheats. any help? thanks

flushing all the deposits out of the radiator with a good radiator flush and buying a new lower temp thermostat might solve your problems. Also make sure you have the air dam in place and that there isnt any debris blocking the radiator or condensor.

na, i found out what it was, 1 thing after another goes wrong with this car.It was a busted thermostat which ended up letting it get to hot so it cracked the rad and all my anti freez was on my driveway. Than if thats not enough, tranny went today, oil pan cracked, because of stupid speed bump, and head unit took a crap, the car is just going to get sold fr whever i can get. But thanks for your help.
