Wiring fan to come on w/ign

Can someone please tell me how to wire my elec fan (88 305TBI) to come on as soon as I turn on the ignition? It would be much appreciated!!!!!:hail:

find ur fan relay. there should be a small green\w going into it. cut that and attach it to ground. thats it.. but the only control u have over it is from the ignition itself. i recomend a switch..

here is a diagram, urs is the same except it has only one fan..

Thats the only contol that I need. I want it to come on and stay on when im driving.

What should I use for a good ground?

The body. Just make sure there isn't any paint there or it won't make good contact.

i pulled the pig tail off the sensor took a junk sensor and cut off the connector so i didnt have to butcher my new pig tail and used it to run a lead to a switch but if you ran it to ground it will come on as soon as the ignition is on. in my case i have it wired so both fans come on at once but even if i leave it off 1 fan comes on but only at about 240.

Well I fixed it last night. I took the green wire w/white stripe and cut it and grounded it to the bracket that holds all the relays on the firewall and it works fine. Thanks guys.
