That search link turned up nothing. GM never documented the cfm of the stock dual fans so any number you find is a guess.

Well, I shouldn't have said it "turned up nothing" Breathment. It does bring up lots of information. The 2200 cfm is probably a combined dual fan rating (really a guess).
I don't believe that each fan can pull that kind of air alone. Even the BEST fans like the Spal dual 11" fans with a shroud only pull a combined cfm of 2780 with no resistance. Once a radiator is placed in front of it that number will drop. All fans are rated this way, unloaded. Still the Spal or BeCool fans (twins) will suck you pantleg in if you walk in front of the car. Show me a stock fan that will do that.

ya that 2200 was an estimate with both fans.. not each..
John did u do anythign to upgrade ur cooling system when you put the LT1 intake on? Im just curious because u said the BeCool fans are really good. And im eventualy going to want\need to upgrade my stock cooling system, especialy here in TX once i get my a\c working again, and if i get my engine rebuilt next summer..

At first I left the cooling system stock. I ran hot with the TPI (230°F in heavy traffic with A/C running) and stayed the same with the LT1 intake.
Then I swapped to a Stewart water pump. It might have dropped the temp 5° F.
I then swapped to a universal Griffin radiator. It made the most improvement, I lost a good 20° F. in traffic. I don't ever go above 210° F anytime.
I have just got the Spal dual 11" fans. They are exactly the same as the BeCool dual fans. I will report back with any improvements.

In other words I can make my fans turn on at ANY temp I desire, and change it during the winter months.
