Vacumm hose for AC vents?

Can anyone show me a picture or give me a good description of which hose is supposed to make the AC vents work on a 91 TBI motor?

i believe that it is a hard black plastic line that comes out of the firewall above the heater core hoses and towards the passenger side a little bit

I think the heater and A/C controls are supplied via the vacuum reservior which is the plastic cylinder located on the fire wall near to the MAP sensor.
It has non return valves to stop it affecting the MAP sensor. They need to be checked and working OK.
The vacuum connection to the reservoir can come from any spare connection into the throttle body or directly from the manifold cover. Its hard to see where the original supply came from, but it will work from any of the connections.
