Cracked pipe?

92 TA 305 TPI. I changed all the heater hoses today and now it seems I have a leak from the pipe that runs along the pass. side. Can I bypass the pipe and just run heater hoses old style? The 3/4" from the core to the radiator, and the 5/8" from the core to the front of the intake manifold? and eliminate the valve with vac line attached. To replace that pipe looks like a real PITA. Thanks

Got it fixed. The 3/4" hose from the core to the pipe wasn't on good. My neighbor, airline mechanic with small hands and used to working in tight spaces got the clamp tightend onto the pipe. No leaks now but that is one tough spot to work in, between the firewall and engine.
