manual fan switch
manual fan switch
Well, I finally installed my manual fan switch today. it lights up whenever the fan comes on, the switch allows me to chose between automatic and manual fan operation. plus I found something to put in that ugly spot on the dash.

Wait so that switch has three terminals: a ground a power for the light and another power . So how did you hook it up for the light to come on when the fans are computer controlled turned on? Does it light up when you flick the switch to turn them on too?
I'm confused.......

yes it comes on when anytime the fan is on, if it is in auto everything works as it should and the ligh comes on everytime the fan does, if I switch it to manual the fan runs continously as long as the ignition switch is on.

How do you keep the amps down throught the toggle? I have mine through a toggle, I have the power coming from the bat, to a toggle and out to the fan power line. The problem is that I keep losing the toggle switch. Is it because of to much amp going to the toggle? Should I use another power supply? Where if so? I think I have solved the problem by using a light switch!!! It may not look great, but it works. Any help?? By the way I keep the fan switch on when I drive.

i just meant my post in this thread. it is better to use a relay system but you dont have to. i would use 10 awg wire and get this switch - although i have this setup and am going to a dual relay setup.

I was wondering if the fan could handle the amps from the bat? I could use the toggle for the ground wire. Would I blow up my fan?
