Heater Valve diverter....
mine blew up.... i bought a new one....
heres wher emy question arises..before i bought it my car did this really retarded rpm spazz, where at an idle the rpms would fluxuate. now first thing that comes to mind is a MAF. so i decided to start saving for one (performance of course). anyway the maf started pulling codes, so i ran a diagnostic and sure enough it was a the MAF. so im still savign and this stupid little heater valve thing expodes(horrible mes sinside the hood
) anyway, i replace the heater valve diverter, and my car doesnt do the RPM increase. is this normal? does the vaccuum line that does from it to the ac dash at all interfere with the vaccum system in the car? more importantly is this what fixed it? if so i have a friend with an 86 firebird that has the same problem with the rpm fluxuations, but has yet to buy a MAF and his isnt pulling codes. anyway i have checked teh searches and nothing of this sort has come about. any explanations?

no vaccuum leaks or anything, the code tha twas pulled i believe was 32. it was whatever one was related to the MAF.does it at all matter that as the rpms peaked teh voltmeter would kinda go up and down??
