heater control valve/diverter & HSR
heater control valve/diverter & HSR
i have a quick question. my hsr intake only has two holes into the front water passage. one i stuck the temp switch in and the other i plugged.i was gonnga plug the hole from the heater control valve/diverter then i noticed in antoher pic on this site, that the guys HSR intake has 4 holes for access to the front water passage. one for the switch, one for the heater control valve/diverter, and the other two plugged.
so the question is do i have to run a line to the heater control valve/diverter from the intake or can it be plugged?

A picture is worth a thousand words. Delete the ugly diverter valve and plug the vaccum line. Run one hose from the heater core to the radiator. Run the other hose from the heater core to the fitting specified in the picture.

I am oil cooler delete because of the long tubes. If you have the oil cooler, you will need to modify the hose from the heater core to the radiator. Do this by routing this hose to go from the heater core to one of the oil cooler pipes. The other oil cooler pipe then connects to the radiator. This simply includes the oil cooler in the coolant loop.
