Fan switch/temp gage
Heya all. I was working on my car and ripped the wire out of my old fan switch. So I go to autozone and replace it. I put it in and now my temperature gage doesn't work and my fan won't come on unless I turn on the AC unit. Any suggestions?
did you wire it in wrong and i dont understand the guage not working from pulling a fan wire, check the guage ground and the pigtail at the end of the sensor maybe loose or off are there any codes coming up?

The guage sender wire is probably off. It is located on the DRIVER side between cyls 1&3. It has a single wire going to it. It has been known to get knocked off when changing plugs etc. Fan sw should have been on the passenger side bet cyls 6&8. It also is a single wire. Sometimes loading the threads with teflon tape will prevent the fitting from getting ground from the block.
