Need help running heater lines

I installed the universal Griffin into my 92 camaro, and now I am ready to run the heater lines but I'm a little confused as to how they should be run. I also installed a Stewart water pump which has a inlet or outlet I don't know which on the back of the pump. I was going to use that port to replace the missing port on the radiator itself but the problem I'm having is I don't know which direction the coolant is flowing. I still have my A/C so I want to use that factory diverter valve, I have done the throttle body bypass already and I don't have that oil cooler, so can somebody shed some light here and tell me a good way to run these heater lines? I guess my biggest problem is I have no idea which way the coolant flows with regards to the water pump. I wanted to just replace the radiator spot with the spot in the back of the water pump and keep everything else the same but my buddy doesn't think that will work.

Thanks

it will, the port is on the same side of the water pump impeller as the rad one(suction/low pressure side) and the intake one is the pressure side, since the t-stat acts as a restirction , so coolant goes from the intake to the rad/water pump, same as the older cars

David, what did you finally do? I am in the same boat as you were and i don't feel like getting a fitting welded onto the rad. What size fitting did you use for the Stewart pump? Thanks for any help.

I ended up using the fitting in the water pump instead of dealing with having a fitting installed into my radiator. I bought the blue Goodyear hose kit and with all the hose they gave me I was able to configure them to make my setup work using the water pump inlet. I don't know the size of the fitting off hand but its just a straight nipple that comes out of that water pump port. So bottom line is you can use the water pump fitting with no problems, and not worry about the radiator.

Thanks for getting back to me David. I'll go ahead and try to find a fitting to work with the hose i have. I too bought that Hi-Miller kit(wish it came in black!!) and so i'll rig something up! Also, how did your install go? Mine is a little difficult b/c i have a trans/oil cooler up front and then the a/c condenser, and then the radiator. So, i am cutting the lower rad. support a bit for it to fit ok. So far so good though. I just wanted to keep my a/c for now, especially with the weather we have been having recently! Later man
