overheating

When i put my intake manifold on, the gasket had the rear water passage holes blocked. But i just read another post and the guy was overheating, but when he swapped to an older style gasket, without the rear water passages blocked, it stayed cool. I do not know what type of cylinder heads he had though.

I have an Edelbrock high flow baseplate and 89 corvette aluminum cylinder heads.

Will I be ok with these gaskets? or should i swap them with the older style?

Since I am assuming your car is TPI (well its a GTA it better be TPI) it doesnt have the crossover ports int he back of the intake. SO getting ones that are open vs. ones that aren't is a moot point.
