IROC-Z w/ oil cooler

I have an '87 IROC-Z w/ the G92 package. As I understand it, that also includes an oil cooler, correct?

Can someone explain where that would be and possibly post a picture?

Thanks.

If you look where your oil filter screws onto there should be a black plate between the filter and the block about 1.5-2 inches thick with two rubber lines coming off of it. These rubber lines run coolant through the black plate cooling the oil. After about an inch of rubber you should have steel lines that run next to and around the front of the oil pan. Hope this helps. -John

Yeah it's between the oil filter and engine block. Not nearly as efficient as an external oil cooler.

I was thinking of replacing mine with a seperate oil cooler so I could run a bigger oil filter with my Milodon kick out pan. The design just doesn't seem very efficient.
