Coolant Leak?

I have an 87 Formula and I have been having to add coolant to it. Replaced the hoses, they were not the source of the leak. No fluid under the car either. Any thoughts on what might be going on here?

well have you noticed any smoke during start up? Whats your oil look like? what do your plugs look like? since you cant seem to find any on the ground the leak may be an internal problem but you may also want to look around the heater core and follow all your hoses in the engine bay and look for signs of leaks.

Do you hear any gurgling sounds coming from the firewall area? Losing coolant without any leaks usually means the head gasket has a tear in it allowing coolant to seap into the combustion chamber and being burnt with the air fuel mixture.

Thanks for the replies. There is no smoke at all, and the oil looks clean. I will follow all of the hoses and check again.

get a mirror and look at the bottom of your water pump, it could be seeping causing a small leak.(but evaporating before it hits the ground.

Check the area of the block around the starter right after shutting off the engine. Intakes like to leak at the water passage at the back corner by #8 cylinder.

get a uv light and dye kit. The dye will show even if the coolant dries up. Put in the dye, drive around for a few days, then check with the light and glasses. The leaking areas will jump out at you.
