Easy Wiring Question for Electric Cooling Fan

84 T/A 15th anniversary.

The electric fan died so I had to replace it. In examining the wire harness I found out that in one spot the two wires for the fan were spliced poorly. So i decided to cut a new section of wire and splice it back nice and neat. In my stumble I might have reversed the wiring(although i dont think so, i just want to be extra safe) and spliced the wires backwards. How can I tell if I have the two wires spliced and reconnected back to their original connector or not. There is no tell tale sign on the wire,(i.e. a red line thru the middle of one wire, etc), both wires look the same size and have the same black cover.

any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

And if you want to buy it....3 grand and its your. good condition, 76k original miles..etc etc. 99percent stock

Thanks again for the comments

Well, I could say it's going to overheat but you don't want to do that. The fan is a "puller", that is it draws air from the front of the car through the rad. See which way the air moves.
