Fans not working
Fans not working
I am trying to figure out why my fans on my 88 305tpi IROC arent working. At first I thought it was the switch in the block, because the connector for it broke off and the wire wasnt able to plug in. So I replaced the switch and added the connector. But still I get no fans. I am thinking the relay(s). I want to get this fixed so I can drive the car and not worry about getting stuck in traffic and having to pull over cuz the car overheats. I am just asking if it would be the relays or something else.
Well I just went out and looked around to see if I can see if anything around the fans, the wiringm or anything else was out of the ordinary, and all I can say is HOLY HELL!!!!! I am surprised the car even runs because those wires are a freaking mess!!!!!
My next question.. does GM sell the wiring from the dual electronic fans to the relay? If not is there a aftermarket/performance upgrade out there that replaces the wiring (ie new fan setups). It is such a mess I dont even think going thru and taking the month its going to take to rewire everything is even going to work.

How hard was it for you to change the switch and connector? I have the same problem with the connector being broken. And how much did the switch and wire run you?
