need to know fan diameter for v-8 '82-85 firebirds
i need ot know the outside diameter of the fan blades for the 82-85 V-8 firebirds, or camaors- if same fan ?
having a BAD time finding a fan for one of these for the 82 LG4 t/a out here, can find the bodies but they never have correct fan in them, cept for one that was not for parts yet,., but at least i know what one looks like now...
somehow there is magically room for mechanical fan under the hood of these things but man the blades are short ! cant believe they pull any air at all hardly.
thanks

17 inch mechanical fan will fit in the stock shroud without any problems. I've been running a 17 inch flex fan for 9 years with a new early thirdgen shroud from GM.

appreciated! youre the first two that have provided any decent info on any of my stock early third gen mechanical fan threads!
hum i have a flex fan thats about this diameter or smaller i bet actually, its blue and aluminum, riveted light weight assembly
maybe i should use it ? but its bolted to a 71 truck 350 waterpump though, and most of those were short pump and small bolt pattenr pump hubs, hmmm...
uh oh.. i better check that out today!
it seems impossible to find out anything liek this on the early ones, i dont know why ??
anymore info would be great thanks
