It would be the same as my '84 LG4. Engine driven clutch fan with a aluminum radiator core and plastic side tanks.

Everything '82 on was aluminum core with o-ringed plastic side tanks. The 1980's was about that time GM started switching to that style in all their vehicles.
Copper core radiator sounds like it was aftermarket or somebody cobbled one in from an older car that fit. The factory radiators were made by Harrison.

dens and paul; do you guys have pics of your setups ? or anyone else with 82-85 stock factory mechanical fan and shroud setup for these cars ?
thanks
i really need to see what the fan looks like and how they mount up with or without spacer, etc.
need details SUPER BADLY
seems like no one has any idea how the fans bolt to the waterpump hubs ?
how many grooves on water pump pulley for with a/c and p/s ?
any original GM stamping part numbers ? numbers from halves of fan shroud ?
length of fan mounting bolts ?
measurements, fan diameter ? hole in shroud diameter ?
distances from fan to radiator and fan to engine block ?
thanks

I have no pics at all of my motor with a mechanical fan - it hit the junk heap in 1991 - I have the dual L98 electric setup now. I would never go back to the mechanical fans in a thirdgen....
