Major Issue with my Cooling System
In the middle of summer, I started to notice that my car would run at about 105 C. Thats about 10 to 15 degrees higher than normal. I just figured it was because it was a really hot day. Then I started to notice that on the same day it would run at its normal temp of 90 to 95, I would shut it off and go in to a shop or something, and come back and it would be running at like 105 again. I figured I should start investigating more. I left for holidays, and came back just over a week ago, and the car was doing the same stuff, except the temp outside was a little cooler. Today however, my car was running at like 117 C, and it red lines at 135 c. So now I am really worried. Does anyone have any suggestions??
The radiator is about 1 year old. It looks in good condition. Im not leaking any fluid anywhere that I can see. My cars not puffing white smoke. So I am thinking that its the water pump?? How would I test that?? Could my thermostat be sticking?? WOuld blockages somewhere in the system cause these symptoms?? Any info would be greatful.
