My car has serious issues

My 91 RS has issues. The temp gauge reads at 220 as normal operating temp. That cant be right because i can pop the hood and hold my hand on the radiator for about 2 or 3 seconds before i have to take it off. At 220, i dont think i'd be able to do that. It has a 180 degree thermostat, a manual fan switch, a dual fan pusher/puller setup, an edelbrock aluminum water pump, an aluminum raidator, new hoses, and a flush and fill. Yet the stock gauge still reads 220 when the car warms up. I put an aftermarket gauge/sending unit combo in and, guess what, it still reads 220.
By now im getting pissed. I get curious though. So i get out the scan tool and check to see what kind of reading the computer is getting for the temp. I warmed the car up, revved it to about 2500rpms, turned the ac on and checked the computer. Even though it was about 100 degree's outside, the computer temp reading never read higher than 195. In fact, it would sometimes bounce between 179 and 180 when the thermostat would open and shut. Im at a loss here. WTF is going on

you could try changing out your coolent temperatue sensor...but i dont think that'll have any relation to the gauge reading 220 if you said its run 195ish...im stumped.
