Coolant Smell and Level of Filling

So i'm noticing a slight smell of coolant coming from my vents - what do you think? Heater hose problem? What's the best fix?

Also, for my coolant reservoir my roommate (who's a mechanic but not certified or an expert in any means) keeps telling me not to worry about the fact that my reservoir tank is overfilled. What do you all think?

is there a wet puddle on the pass side floor?

look around and try to find where the leak is coming from.... but if you smell it in the vents, i bet its the heater core.

you can over fill the reservoir if you want.. all that will happen is it will spill out the vents in the cap when it expands..... just be sure to have atleast some air gap... dont top the sucker off....

most the way filled is fine...
