temp problem?

temp problem?
84 trans am 305 h.o.
it does not over heat,but someone thing is wrong i just went threw 2 temp sensors and the cars computer system just cant read the new sensor? also the temp gauge does not move at all.Any help you can give me ?

Have you checked to make sure the wire is geting a connection with the sensor? What about ground..is it grounded to the block..is there somthing stoping it? If it cant read the thermostat your gauge wont work..but have you opend your gauge pannel up and check to see if it was jamed or somthing? How do you know the comptuer cant read it?
