Cooling questions!
1. Does anyone happen to have a pic of the underside of their front end, so I can see exactly what the air dam is supposed to look like? I bought all four pieces (P/N 10118485, 10118488, 10118489, and another I don't have right now), but there is a large hole left in the middle (10118488/89 are the side pieces), and I want to make darn sure that hole is supposed to be there, because I really can't afford to have it overheat again.
2. I need to know if there exists a different coolant mix that removes heat from the engine and dissipates it in the radiator better than just some off-brand 50-50 mix that you can buy for like $2.50 a gallon, and if there is, where do I get it, and also, where can I get some straight antifreeze, so I can make a 30-70 (water/antifreeze) mix?
3. Is there some sort of problem with a crack or something on anyone else's V6 thirdgen near the passenger side of the waterpump? Mine seems to like to leak there, and I may have patched it permanently this time, but it may come back. The leak I have is located directly under (relative to the top being the intake and the bottom being the oil pan) the alternator/belt tensioner bracket, and you have to remove the bracket to patch the leak. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Any auto parts store will carry pre-mix as well as pure coolant. The airdam is usually a straight piece of plastic, looks like a big skateboard with a mounting flange with holes.

That air dam may be like that for a Camaro, but according to GM's parts diagrams, the Firebird air dam is in three to four pieces and leaves a huge hole in the middle. In the middle in some pic I've seen on this site I've seen some sort of air scoop that is mounted in the middle, but I think that those were on a Camaro. I was hoping someone with firebird could take a pic of their lower front end and tell me how well their air dam works.
Edit: Okay, I went through the site and found something along the lines of what I am looking for for the air dam question. In the 2003-2004 Classic Industries Firebird Parts Catalog, on Page 296, I have the parts listed in the upper right hand corner and in the lower left corner. (I don't know how to save an individual page of an Adobe Reader document, so you have to look for yourself) I want to know if another part, shown in the pic below, is ABSOLUTELY necessary for cooling. If it is, I can pick one up the next time I go a junkin'.

the middle piece right u under the radiator is key for highway cooling, thats the most important piece i would have.
