heater core question...

would it be possible to bypass the heater core (ie. connect the two coolant hoses together)?

It can be done.I have done it in a bind when a heater core has gone bad on a sunday night and I needed to get to work monday morning.Why are you looking to bypass the heater core?

Yeah, I've seen it... in fact, I bought my car with a bypassed (non-existant) heater core.

it was for someone else, heater core was leaking and he didn't want to replace it, so I just wanted to know if it could be done that way. thanks

I had mine that way for a year an da half before I just put in a new core. It can be done with no problems.
