Coolant Question

In putting stuff back together I found that I broke the coolant diaphram thing on the passenger side. It has a hose from the heater core, a hose down into the hard line on the passenger side frame rail, and a hose into the throttle body. This piece also has the vaccume line into it that comes from the plenum. When I took off the line from the throttle body I broke the plastic part of the "diaphram" piece. There is basically two large pieces that came off, and it seems I could apoxy glue it back together to make it work. Has anybody replaced this piece? If I just connect these pieces will it still work? If I need to replace this piece where is the best place to get it, fast?

Thanks
Ryan

Have you done the TB coolant mod? If so, you could just put in a T or find a replacement for it. I know some one who snapped theres and just put a T on it. Seemed to work just fine. Id go to a parts store or junk yard to get that part.

I'm going to do that for now just to start the car, but I don't wanna do the TB bypass mod because I've heard a lot of negative things about that mod if you use the car as a daily driver. Something about the TB blades seizing up or something. Plus, that's another one of those....I don't know why it's there so it's got to be there for a reason.... things. If I dont' know what it's purpose is, I don't like removing it cause I don't know the negative aspect of the change.

Well, liviing in MI maybe there is a small chance for the blades to stick, but if you warm your car up (as i sure you do in the winter) the blades wont stick. If done it for almost 2 years and have yet to have any tb stick. But I drive mine in the summer of NJ.

Found out the local part store chain (Murray's) carries it. It's called the heater control valve. Didn't cost much either. So I don't gotta do any guetto riggin.
