Cooling Fan Problem

OK, I have been reading other posts but I'm not sure if I understand. I have a 91 Z-28 305 with dual fans. One fan does come on when the A/C is turned on. I swapped around the relays on driver's side and they seem good. There is a fuse on passenger side near battery that seems connected to the system. It is fine. I'm guessing that the temp switch is bad??? I swapped the fans to see if the other fan is good, which it is. I read that the temp sensor is located on pass. side between the rear two plugs. I can't find it. Is it a big deal to replace and should I replace it or is there something else I can check??I'm rambling, sorry

drivers side fan should come on around the high 220's.

so if your car just idles does anything turn on, if so what temp?

drivers side is controlled by the coolant temp sensor on the front of the block / intake manifold.

the passengers is controlled by the fan switch and a/c pressure switch, etc.

Driver's side fan comes on when A/C is turned on. I think it kicked on once when the temp was high. The pass. side never seems to come on. I swapped the relays and they seem fine. I swapped the fan wiring and turned on the A/C and the pass side turned on so the fan itself is good but normally never comes on. ???

Check your fan grounds on the radiator support and check all connections .And also check the fan turn on switch under the car back of oil pan look up on pass side there will be a goldish switch check that and the wire that goes to it .It may be frayed or burned..Good luck
