Help!

Ok, i have some questions about my fan, and fan switch. First, my fan worked fine most of the summer, but it slowly started turning on at higher and higher temps, I tried talking to guys at checker and autozone, but they said that as the weather gets hotter, that will happen, well, i thought it was total bs. So i try and find a replacement fan switch, and they ask, 'which one do you want?', i always thought there was only 1. So i need to know what the deal is with that.
Second, my fan has stopped working completely now, so do i need a new fan, or do i need a new switch? I plan on just replacing both while im both, that way i know that i should having a functioning fan system.
And lastly, i looked at the jet switch, the one that is 200 on/185 off, but it says for cars with dual fans only. Does this mean that im stuck with the stocker? My car does have a/c, but only a single fan, and i checked with pontiac and i should only have one fan. So will i be able to run the jet switch?

Thanks for any help, im trying to figure out how to spend my christmas money, and i thought i should take care of my cooling issues before buying any go-fast parts. Any help is appreciated!

check your fuses and possibly fusible links to the fan... taje a test light to it, it is getting power?

complete the circuit off your switch n see if it turns on or least has power... as for switches i dont know, i dont use a temp switch to control my fan anymore, i hooked up a toggle switch to my electric fan, best thing i've ever done coolant wise.

if your swtich is mine, just lay a wrench over the two prongs and that will complete the circuit n allow power to transfer from swtich to fan.
