LT1 water pump question

Engine: 1995 Camaro LT1
Transmission: 700R4
LT1 water pump question
i have a 95 LT1 swaped into my 92 camaro. the water pump has three fitings available for whatever. there is one on the lower drivers side, and one on the upper and one on the lower passenger side. is one of these what i use for my heater control valve? if so which one? i tried the upper passenger side but it didnt work to well
