quick simple question....
quick simple question....
i want to clean up my engine bay. i've already removed all of A.I.R and emissions crap. now, all that is really left is removing part of the coolant lines...im not exactly sure what the name of the part is that i want to remove but its on the pass. side of the engine and it has 3 coolant hoses and a vacuum line going to it. will i mess anything up by just removing this part and re-routing the coolant lines?

i wouldnt get rid of it if u want heat, its important to have.
i would just do what some have and move the whole assembly to near the heater / ac box to keep it out of the way of the engine area.
just some new hoses and re-route it.
What is the A.I.R system
I here alot of people talking about removing the A.I.R .
I am kinda new to this and trying to learn more but what does this do and can it be removed?
Any pics any where ?
Thanks

the air pump can be removed thats part of the air system.
that would be under teh a/c compressor usually.
the black box circled is part of the air its called the diverter opens and closes passages.
the cat on the exhaust has an airtube going to it, thats part of the air system.
anything hooked up to that black box can be removed the hoses, air tubes to the cat, and stuff tape up the eletrical tape.
alot of information on here just run a search thats what i did before i removed my stuff, after that u need to worry about plugging the cat's air tube nipple up, also the main tube on the manifolds up also.
