Wheres the thermostat located?

Where the thermostat located and which one is the best choice... 160 or 180 degrees?

Ummmm, which engine do you have?
But the easiest answer at this point is follow the upper radiator hose to where it enters the engine. The hose will attach to a metal neck which then attaches to the engine. Under this neck is where the t-stat is.
As for what temp... that is up to debate. I personally use a 180*. I wouldnt use a 160* or 170* in a computer controlled car unless you get the computer reprogrammed for it. Even with the 180* I am looking at having to get it reprogrammed. (for other reasons as well, but this is a major one).

follow the main radiator hose thats on top of the radiator.

180 is what i use way better than the stock 195.
