Heater box flapper door
Heater box flapper door
The lever that moves the flapper door in the heater box is broken on my 87 GTA. A small piece of the lever still resides in the connection on the control cable, and there is a small, stud-like piece left attached to the flapper door.
Is it possible to replace the door without having to remove the heater box from the dash (doubtful). The other possibility is repairing the broken piece by using some JB Weld and a paper clip wound around the two pieces that are left.
Any ideas?
Also, where is the vacuum port that runs from the controls to the heater control valve. I removed the HCV during the top end work, and now I need to plug the vacuum port.
Thanks!

a good fix for that i would say use 3m panel bod, similar to jb weld but its metal based and strong as hell, ive glue quarter panels onto cars with this stuff, never seen the stuff break in the 2 years i been using it. I really doubt jb will hold for very long.
