Sealer pills after rad flush?

I was reading over on the Bob's Oil forum about some controversy over the use of the sealer pills when you flush the cooling system and refill. I hear that GM once recommended the pills, and now they don't. Some issue over clogging the heater core.

What say you guys? Pop a couple pills in the radiator after a flush? No?

The reason I ask is I just flushed and refilled my system. Should I put in a couple pills? I have no leaks at the moment, I'd sure like to keep it that way. Believe it or not, my heater core is the original. But I've had to have several of those damn cheapassed plastic rad tanks replaced for cracking. I can get a whole new aftermarket radiator for the price that the local rad shop charges me for fixing a busted tank.

Thanks.

Those fix in a bottle or a pill in this case almost always do more harm than good. I never use them in my car and especially wouldnt if i had no problems with leaks like you do.

If you do a flush and you spring a leak, consider it a convenient way to spot a component that would soon fail anyway... I wouldn't use that stuff if you could avoid it...
