help with cooling fan
i have a 1991 firebird with the 305 engine. it has one single fan. i cant get the fan to come on with the a/c off. i have changed everything but the computer......i need some help here....is there something i am missing?

The fan switch is located on the passenger side cylinder head between cylinders 6 and 8. It looks kind of similar to the coolant temperature sensor.

I also have almost the exact same problem that you do. One thing that I am going to try is taking of the fan and then hotwiring it to see if it comes on with just battery voltage applied to it. Have you also checked the fan relay?

i have switched the relays around and i have applied 12 volts to the fan. the fan is goood just wont work without the a/c on.....anyone know what else i can do to fix this?
