Fan Question

Is there any harm in setting up the electric fan to work when the ignition is on only?

In that sense it would work just like the belt driven fan.

I guess my concern is that it will burn up the electric motor to have it running all the time.

It will severly shorten the fan motor life and in addition places undue stress on the alt.
