V6 electric fan on V8

I'm doing an 85 LG4 V8 swap into my V6. I would like to use my V6 fan in place of that heavy clutch fan with the broken shroud it came with.

It would be real cool to figure a way to use a sensor and relay so I don't need to worry about forgeting to toggle a switch one day.

What do ya'll think about this? Has someone done this before?

And if there was a way to use a single sepentine belt system without buying a $2K kit, I would be very happy.

The v6 single fan will work fine. You may want to buy a new motor for it also to make sure it is working efficiently.

There should be no problem wiring it up and making it work. If the wiring is intact and the fan is working int he v6 car, all you need to do is put a sensor in the v8 block and plug it in.

As far as serpentine goes. You just need to get a kit from a later 3rd gen v8 car. They are single belt. I have a kit off a 92 Camaro if you need one. I do not have the crank or water pulley though. PM me if you are interested.
