Prestone Backflush Coupler Thing

If any of you have this installed in your car, how many of you have had problems with it eventually leaking? Mine just started to leak from where I spliced the T fitting into the heater hose. From my understanding if I install the hose over the T, then clamp it down well with the provided hose clamps, it shouldn't leak, right??? So WTF is the problem? Any ideas, previous fixes people have done? Help is appreciated.

If the hose clamps are tightened properly and there's no cracks in the hose, then the "T" fitting shouldn't leak. If your heater hoses are old, you may want to replace them.

The only problem I've ver had was that over time, the "T" fitting can become brittle and crack. This just happened recently on my car, but only after close to 10 years use on the "T" fitting.
