Any Help Will Be Greatly Appreciated

I've got a 1986 Camaro Z28 with a 305 TPI engine, and the cooling fan switch is out and i want to replace it, the only problem is, is that the guy i bought the car from, instead of fixing it the right way wired a manual switch with wires all over the place and now i can't find the wires to trace back to the switch so i'm kinda stuck and don't know what to do... I i've looked all over and the closest thing i've come to finding is the knock switch but i can't seem to find the fan switch so if anyone knows the exact location and could help me out I would appreciate it, because i want to have everything working like it did from the factory if at all possible.

The fan switch is just to the left of the knock sensor and above the starter. It has a black wire going to it.
